Hanna Serwaah Tetteh is a Ghanaian private legal practitioner, consultant and politician.
In 2018 she was appointed as Director-General of the United Nations Office at Nairobi (UNON). From 2013 to 2017, she was Minister of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration of the Republic of Ghana. Concurrently, she was a Member of Parliament for the Awutu-Senya West Constituency. By virtue of her appointment as Minister of Foreign Affairs, she was also a member of the National Security Council and the Armed Forces Council. Moreover, from March 2014 to May 2015, she was Chairperson of the ECOWAS Council of Ministers and Chairperson of the ECOWAS Mediation & Security Council. Prior, from 2009 to 2013, she served as Minister of Trade and Industry and as the Chairperson of the Ghana Free Zones Board with oversight of the country's Free Zones/Special Economic Zones scheme.
Before starting her political career, Hanna Serwaah Tetteh worked in corporate and private legal practice. She obtained her Bachelor of Laws Degree from the University of Ghana, Legon, and her professional law qualification from the Ghana School of Law. She was called to the Ghana Bar in 1992.
