From 12 to 15 October 2020, the Richard von Weizsäcker Forum of the Robert Bosch Academy will take place in Berlin and other German cities. This year's Forum will address the issue of inequality in today’s world. Across the globe, income and wealth inequality in countries is growing. Unequal opportunities mean that certain groups are excluded from society’s development. All too often, origin, gender, or social status determine one’s place in society, while discrimination and unequal access to resources prevent people from living a self-determined life.
On the Fellows in Conversation Day, the issue will be discussed virtually with experts such as Emilia Roig, Yasha Mounk and Samir Saran to illuminate how different forms of inequality and discrimination interact and influence one another. On the subsequent Study Tour to the Ruhr Area, the Fellows will explore social and economic change from different perspectives in discussions with representatives from business, civil society and politics.
The participation is by invitation only.
