Russia’s ongoing war against Ukraine has reshaped the regional geopolitical landscape. As Ukraine’s neighbour, Moldova has faced unprecedented levels of Russian hybrid warfare, including security challenges, energy blackmail and electoral interference.
Moldova now stands at a critical crossroads. On one hand, the European Union has initiated accession talks, offering a pathway toward European integration. On the other hand, Russia is intensifying efforts to destabilize Moldova aiming to steer the country toward a pro-Kremlin trajectory.
In this event, our experts will explore the opportunities and challenges for Moldova’s EU integration, analyse the impact of Russian interference, and examine the country’s economic prospects in the context of EU accession. Following the discussion, a light dinner will provide an opportunity for networking and further exchange on this important topic.
This event is being organized in cooperation with the German Council on Foreign Relations (DGAP), in cooperation with the Robert Bosch Academy as part of the ‘DGAP Professionals’ network.
