Dry Hot Summers by Sherif Elbendary – Winner Film Prize Germany/Arab World

Two lonely people at opposite chapters of life accidentally meet on a busy summer day in a Cairo taxi. Their race through the city evolves into a journey of self-discovery that reconnects them to life.
Zeus by Pavel Vesnakov – Winner Film Prize Germany/Eastern Europe
Germany/Bulgaria, 2014, 25 min
The death of his father urges Zeus to contact his older half-brother Vasil who has no intentions to help his younger brother finance the funeral. When he finally agrees to help Zeus to sell his car, the two brothers start on a fateful journey.
The screenings are followed by open discussions around snacks and drinks.
Directors of the films and other special guests will be present.
The event is part of a film series conceived as a tribute to the foundation’s long-term cooperation with Mirsad Purivatra, Director of the Sarajevo Film Festival.
