While Russia appears to be withdrawing the surge of military forces that it arrayed against Ukraine earlier in April, the Kremlin's conflict with Ukraine nonetheless has entered its eighth year. Germany has played a central role in EU policy toward Ukraine and Russia and has led the effort to broker a settlement in Donbas. The Biden administration may be prepared to engage more energetically than its predecessor on these issues.
At this Virtual Roundtable, selected experts from across sectors are invited to a solution-oriented discussion on some of the most pressing political questions: What does Berlin hope for, and what does it expect from the Biden administration in terms of (1) trying to facilitate a solution to the conflict in Donbas, and (2) pressing Kyiv to carry out the reforms and anti-corruption measures needed to build a robust economy? And what does Washington hope for from Germany?
The participation is by invitation only.
